Dry Lives

The Last Sock is a dark comedy short film in stop-motion technique envisioned by Portuguese filmmaker Carolina Batista. As part of the modelmaking team I was responsible for the furniture of a character who is the grandmother of the family at the center of the narrative. The materials I mainly worked with were wood, cardboard, rigid and soft foams, fabrics and acrylic paint. I made construction drawings based on references chosen by the director, adapted them to the prospective sizes of the animation puppets and mockups of the sets and executed the construction.
