To see and touch old locomotives – this is possible at the DB train museum in Halle. Unfortunately mostly in the dark and crammed interior of the engine shed. Therefore our goal for this project was to spotlight the museum’s inventory. With our application, every visitor can operate the railway turntable  by using intuitive hand gestures that are tracked by the Kinect sensor in order to see the locomotives from all sides. Users also get information about each exhibit.

This project was created in cooperation with Robert Gühne and the DB museum Halle.
